Jam & Cream cheese Stuffed French Toast

Jam & Cream cheese Stuffed French Toast

This recipe elevates classic French toast by adding a rich, creamy filling of sweetened cream cheese and luscious strawberry jam.

INGREDIENTS

For the French Toast

8 slices of thick bread (such as brioche or challah)

4 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Butter or cooking spray, for cooking

For the Filling

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup Berry Medley jam (any flavor works)

Fresh strawberries, sliced (for garnish, optional)

Maple syrup, for serving

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese.
  • Gently fold in the strawberry jam until well combined. Set aside.

Β Chef’s Note: Don’t mix it completely to keep bits of jam visible

2. Make the French Toast

  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon until well combined.
  • Cut your bread of choice about 1 inch thick.
  • Butterfly the slice from the flat side while leaving the edges intact.
  • Spoon the filling into each slice.
  • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt a tablespoon of butter or spray with cooking spray.
  • Dip each stuffed French toast sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated but not soggy.
  • Place the dipped sandwiches onto the skillet or griddle and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Once cooked, transfer the stuffed French toast to serving plates. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices and a drizzle of maple syrup and enjoy!
