1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
8 oz goat cheese, softened
1/2 cup jam (mixed berry works well)
Fresh herbs for garnish (optional, such as thyme, rosemary, or basil)
Olive oil for brushing
Salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC)
- Prepare the Baguette Slices
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
- Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil.
- Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper for extra flavor.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.
- Toast the baguette slices for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip the slices halfway through the baking time to ensure even toasting.
3. Prepare the Crostini
- Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Spread a generous amount of softened goat cheese on each slice.
- Top each goat cheese-covered slice with a spoonful of jam. Use berry jam for a sweet and tangy twist.
You can garnish each crostini with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh cracked black pepper, or a sprinkle of fresh herbs, if desired. Thyme, rosemary, or basil complement the flavors perfectly.
