Jam and Goat Cheese Crostini

An easy to make, but very tasty recipe combining the sweet jam flavors with tangy goat cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices

  • 8 oz goat cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup jam (mixed berry works well)

  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional, such as thyme, rosemary, or basil)

  • Olive oil for brushing

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)

  2. Prepare the Baguette Slices

    • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.

    • Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil.

    • Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper for extra flavor.

    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.

    • Toast the baguette slices for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip the slices halfway through the baking time to ensure even toasting.

  3. Prepare the Crostini

    • Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.

    • Spread a generous amount of softened goat cheese on each slice.

    • Top each goat cheese-covered slice with a spoonful of jam. Use berry jam for a sweet and tangy twist.

You can garnish each crostini with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh cracked black pepper, or a sprinkle of fresh herbs, if desired. Thyme, rosemary, or basil complement the flavors perfectly.
