Peach Jam Glazed Ham
This Peach Jam Glazed Ham is sure to impress your guests with its sweet and tangy flavor and beautifully caramelized crust.
Ingredients
1 fully cooked bone-in ham (7-9 pounds)
1 cup peach jam
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Whole cloves (optional, for garnish)
Fresh peach slices (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C)
Prepare the Glaze
In a small saucepan, combine the peach jam, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the jam is melted and the ingredients are well combined. Set aside.
Prepare the Ham
Place the ham on a cutting board and score the surface in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife.
If desired, insert whole cloves into the intersections of the diamond pattern for added flavor and decoration.
Place the scored ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.
Brush the peach jam glaze generously over the entire surface of the ham, ensuring it is evenly coated.
Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and transfer it to the preheated oven.
Bake the ham for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until heated through, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes.
Remove the foil during the last 20-30 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize and form a golden crust on the ham.
Once the ham is heated through and the glaze is caramelized, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Garnish the sliced ham with fresh peach slices, if desired, and serve warm.
