Jam Tarts
These Jam Tarts are simple to make and perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.
Ingredients
1 package of pre-made pie crust (or homemade if preferred)
1 cup jam (any flavor)
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
Prepare the Tarts
Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles of dough, about 3 inches in diameter.
Gently press each dough circle into the cups of a mini tart pan or muffin tin, forming small tart shells.
Spoon about 1-2 teaspoons of jam into each tart shell. Be careful not to overfill, as the jam can bubble over during baking.
Bake the Tarts
Place the tart pan in the preheated oven.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the jam is bubbly.
Remove the tarts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once the tarts are completely cool, you can dust them with powdered sugar for a decorative touch.
